N is for….

No, Nada, No way Jose, Nothing, Negative, Not at all, Never.

This is how many ideas I could come up with for N. I’m a day late and a dollar short.  I failed.  I’m hopeless.  Actually, I’ve been swamped with non-blog responsibilities.  I’m in brain lock, sensory overload, and running around like a chicken with its head cut off.  Lots of cliches there–so sorry about that.  While this is not an excuse, I couldn’t totally cop out and skip ‘N’.   I am determined to complete this challenge.

Hopefully, my muse will show up for ‘O’.

I will be reading all of the other creative, happy, and wonderful posts on the letter ‘N’ from my fellow writers/new friends participating in the challenge, though.  Take care!

  1. The A-Z is all about showing up, getting us in that habit, and you did it! We can’t have a brainstorm of creativity everyday, and I believe that life always trumps blogging, so we have to attend to that stuff first. I love honesty, your post made me smile!

  2. That’s just part of the writing life. Sometimes it just doesn’t work and you have to do something else. I am in a spell like that. I have scheduled my posts for the rest of the month but I want to write next months’ post and I just can’t get myself around. But we’ll get back into it. And by the way, my post will be about octopuses. Maybe that will give you an idea 🙂

  3. No, no, no. There is NO way that you’re falling short. You’ve been really active, supportive and great company during April. So please look forward, not back, and be kind to yourself. And if I had any advice to offer? If you are feeling inspired, schedule some posts in advance so you don’t feel the time pressure so much. And if you run out of things to blog about? Then just share how you’re feeling that day. Somewhere in that post will be a word with that day’s letter. There’ll be people ready to encourage, cajole and sympathise. Guaranteed. X

    • Thank you so much for the encouragement. I tried to schedule posts ahead except for the letters I was waiting for inspiration–N just never surfaced and then life blew up. But, it’s all good and I will hopefully finish it up. 🙂 Thanks again for the encouragement. It means so much!

  5. You haven’t failed at all, sometimes life gets in the way. I’m particularly impressed with my fellow bloggers who write something for every letter, I think that’s quite hard. You’re doing well!

  8. You have not failed, just the act of you posting about ‘N’ proves that! Life makes us all fall short at times, it just depends whether we let it, or whether we show up (later) anyway. Good job on posting, I know how hard it can get 🙂

  9. Damn muse! LOL I have been there plenty Sis! Hell, I think I have written about 3 poems so far this year! I tried a challenge a couple of years ago to write 30 poems in 30 days for the month of April (being national poetry month) and it as overwhelming. I did pretty well though, I think I ended up writing 28 poems that month, many of which were not my best work, but it was downright exhausting! It taught me to slow down and let my muse work at her own pace, lol
