Bambi Lake is one of our favorite campgrounds, and I encourage you to read this post and watch the video referenced therein. The campground was immersed in nature, secluded, and a place to relax, unwind, and truly get away from everything.
PRICE POINT, CLEANLINESS, AND APPEARANCE: Bambi Lake was $25 a day and they may have special weekly and monthly rates. It’s rustic with gravel and dirt roads, but was set in a forest beside a beautiful stocked lake. It is clean and well-kept.
EASE IN ENTERING AND EXITING THE SITES AND ACCESS TO HOOKUPS: The sites were somewhat challenging, but an experienced driver could easily maneuver the campsite in even a large rig. All sites have electricity and only one had sewer, but there was a dump station easily accessible. The hookups are older, but were well-maintained.
AMENITIES/WI-FI: There was no wi-fi and our connectivity was challenging until we installed a cell booster. After that, we worked, downloaded, uploaded, and streamed with no issues. Satellite was impossible because of tree cover. As far as other amenities, Bambi Lake far exceeded that of a ‘normal’ campground. There was full access to the lake with kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats. The waterslide is scheduled to open in spring of 2018. There’s a sandy beach and swim area. The lake was fully stocked and ready to fish. For other sports, there was a volleyball court, a basketball court, field for football or baseball, and a mini golf course. There were also miles of trails for nature walks and ATVs. They also have a lodge and cabins on site with an industrial kitchen for family gatherings, retreats, weddings, etc.
FRIENDLINESS OF STAFF: The manager of Bambi Lake is a good friend and he’s very friendly and loves to have RVers enjoy the campground. The staff are warm-hearted and welcoming–they are the biggest draw for us. They are wonderful people who love Bambi Lake and want to welcome everyone.

Things we did in the area were Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and we crossed the Mighty-Mac and traveled through the Upper Peninsula to Lake Superior. I’ll add more activities/day trips when the blog is caught up.

Looks absolutely peaceful. What kind of cell booster are you using? We’ve been thinking about getting one.
Mike used the WeBoost and it worked great. When we stayed at this campground in Michigan, we had limited signal. He invested in the WeBoost (it’s pricey, so we shopped around) and the signal was nice and strong and he was able to work (we could also stream, upload, etc.).
