Mike and I recently watched the calendar turn to our one-year anniversary of full-time RVing and living on the road. It’s been a great year (a 2017 review will be completed eventually). I follow fellow talented blogger, Big and Pinky Toes, and she came up with the idea of a blog roll to celebrate her birthday week and blog anniversary. I thought it was a wonderful idea and wanted to invite my friends to share their favorite blog post of 2017. It can be regarding travel, family, fiction writing–absolutely ANYTHING.
So what do you do?
- Introduce yourself and your blog in a comment below.
- Drop the link of your favorite blog post with your comment. You may post more than one link, but please do so in a separate comment.
- Visit other bloggers who have shared their links. It’s a great way to discover other blogs of interest.
- Please visit Big and Pinky Toes and do the same.
The most rewarding aspect of being nomads for Mike and I is the people we have met along our journey. I see this blog as part of our journey and the people I’ve met through the blogosphere have touched my heart through sharing their life experiences, their personal growth and wisdom, and making me laugh. I’d love for you all to meet the bloggers who mean so much to me.
Love to all, Dawn.

A major marketing firm traveled with us for a few days to make a 2-minute documentary about full-time traveling in our Airstream: https://livinginbeauty.net/2017/11/30/over-the-rainbeaubeaux/
I love the mini-documentary. You guys are wonderful! I would like to share this link on my facebook page, if you don’t mind (I’m only a teeny tiny itty bitty blip on the blogosphere, but have friends who would be interested in your post). What a wonderful opportunity to share the beauty of this lifestyle. Thank you for posting!
Dawn
Dawn, please share the blog post with everyone and anyone you wish!
Thank you!
What a great idea, Dawn! I’m always looking for new blogs to follow, so hopefully this will give me some good ones to check out. As you know, I typically write about our full time RV travels, but sometimes I have to go head to head with a twerking spider. This was my favorite post from the past year….

This is my favorite post of yours from this year, too (although I love ALL of them)–I distinctly remember spurting a gulp of coffee everywhere when reading it the first time. Thanks for sharing the link! Dawn
Wonderful idea! I too, think meeting fellow travelers is one of the best parts of this journey! Here’s my most recent blog post that took me months to write. https://www.chickerystravels.com/national-civil-rights-museum-memphis-tn/
This post is a wonderful choice, Julie. So well written and thought-provoking. Thank you for sharing!
Thank for the shout out and congratulations on your milestone.
I’m Lacey at BigAndPinkyToes. I blog about food, family, and other random stuff. Here’s a link to one of my favorite posts from 2017 “And Remember, Watch Out for Witches!”
https://bigandpinkytoes.wordpress.com/2017/09/26/and-remember-watch-out-for-witches/
Thank YOU for such a great idea and allowing me to go with it. 🙂 I love your post about remember to watch for witches! What a sweet memory!
Thanks, it makes me smile every single time I think about it.
Thanks for the opportunity to share Dawn, and I’m looking forward to seeing and reading all the respondents posts as well. We are workampers and started our workamping “careers” in beautiful central Arizona. Here’s a post where I share how my beautiful wife scared the “you know what” out of me. I’m looking forward to continuing to get to know her better as our years together in this tiny mobile box progress, and this experience that I share in this post (and video) had me shaking in my boots. https://wp.me/p8hYvd-yT
That was an excellent choice as a favorite! My goodness, the view is breathtaking. You guys were standing WAY TO CLOSE to the edge! LOL Thanks for sharing!
Great idea. We are into our 5th year living full-time in our RV. DS52.wordpress.com I started writing to keep in touch with family and friends. As I browsed my 2017 posts, I loved all of the memories but selected on from May and our retrun to Massachusetts. https://ds52.wordpress.com/2017/05/02/on-our-way-home.
This was an excellent post. Did the last 4-5 years fly by? Our first year went soooo fast! Thank you so much for sharing. Safe travels to you!
Coming into our fourth year, our favorite post this year had to be when we were able to see Diana’s family and some of our friends in Southern California. It was a dream-come-true for us!

Times with family are the best, but you guys packed in a lot of adventure in the process! Looks like a wonderful visit. Thank you for sharing! Dawn
Great idea Dawn. I enjoyed reading though the folks who already commented. I hope you don’t mind, but I was torn between these two posts from 2017 https://thewanderingrver.com/2017/10/31/a-camels-tale/ and https://thewanderingrver.com/2017/03/24/you-cant-do-that-to-me-im-a-shower-curtain/
I can definitely understand why you were torn between the two–excellent posts, and I’m glad you shared them. I remember both of them well! Thank you so much for sharing! Dawn
Thank you for the opportunity to share! I really appreciate it! 🙂
My name is Tim (or Crazywriterof6), you can find me here, https://crazywriterof6.wordpress.com
A large part of my blog was to share and express myself in the writing I have done in my life so far.
A lot of therapy writing, romance, depression… Cancer problems and issues.
I am basically using my blog as a big therapy session! lol… I find myself writing and sharing a lot of my romance poetry to my wife and sharing a lot of issues I have and had over the years. Bullying is a big one for me.
My high school diaries share a lot of bullying I experienced as a child. They are pretty adult themed. Just so you know.
1) My High School Diaries Part one… https://crazywriterof6.wordpress.com/2017/10/26/the-darkened-halls-of-high-school-a-true-story/
I have a lot of poetry also… I plan on posting several more stories this year. Maybe some fiction also. Check it out if you feel so inclined.
I stumbled upon your blog through Lacey at Big and Pinky Toes and she inspired me to do a blog roll here, too. I’ve read a few of your posts and love your ‘therapy sessions.’ It’s a big part of why I write, too. This post brought me to tears, and I applaud your honesty. Thank you so much for sharing. Dawn
You’re very welcome! I truly appreciate you reading!!
Your blog is a tour de force. Your time and effort certainly serve you well! Although RVing and blogging for 12 years, I hadn’t thought of inviting a blog roll. Good idea! We had a jam-packed 2017 with adventures over 22 states, but perhaps the best was giving my grandsons their first airplane ride with their granddad as pilot. http://mills-travels.blogspot.com/2017/02/andwere-off.html
Thank you for the compliment. Phannie and Mae is on of my favorites, so I was honored to see you comment and share. I loved this post and the memories you made. Your grandsons will remember this adventure forever! Thank you so much for sharing. Dawn

What an adventure! I can see why this was your favorite post of 2017. Loved the bit when you were taking the pictures of they guy trying to steal the camera. That almost happened to us at the beach this year. 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing.
Happy RV-iversary. I just started Blogging so my option are slim pickings. I think my favorite post was about the need to downsize my kitchen: https://onthegowithgreg.blog/2017/09/18/minimalist-kitchen/
The article is not great or enlightening. It is mostly an affirmation for me. It is my favorite because that simple post was my first step and recently I was able to proudly post what I have accomplished. A minimalist kitchen that works for my family.

These are great posts! Thank you for sharing them here. Happy downsizing! Dawn
Thank you!
