The Las Vegas area has so much more to offer than the Vegas Strip. Roy and Judy invited me along while they explored some of the more natural areas out first week in Nevada. They were extremely patient while I took photos during our drive through Red Rock Canyon. We were treated to some of the most breathtaking views. Below is a photographic tour through the park.

Red Rock Canyon is a beautiful drive with several areas to stop and take photos or simply enjoy the stunning views. It’s a truly magnificent park. I loved looking onto the wide vistas and realizing just how small I am in this big huge world and how blessed I am to stand among the earth’s glory.
I love places that put life in perspective.

how beautiful – somewhere i’d love to visit
It’s worth the trip and definitely prettier than the Vegas Strip.
Truly sublime. I like being reminded of how small humanity is in the grand scheme of things …
Nature always does that for me. Kind of reminds me that it’s “not all about me.” I need a little perspective quite often. 🙂
I love looking for faces or pictures in the rocks, almost as much as cloud watching. Stunning pictures. I don’t know how we missed it when we were there! Safe travels!
It was stunning, and I’m glad we got to go. It was a sweet sort of awesome. Our country is so darn beautiful!
I love Red Rock Canyon. Went there twice on our last trip to Vegas. Once for the scenic drive and a short hike with Sean. The next time I went back by myself for a longer hike.
When we are back in the area I hope to explore some more. We didn’t do any hikes this time around. This was on my list because of the video Sean and you did on Vegas. Thanks for the recommendation!
I don’t know if it was Red Rock we saw when we were in the helicopter ride but there were some pretty different colors in the rocks as we flew over. Your pictures, as always, are gorgeous. You put us right there!
I can only imagine how beautiful it would have been from a helicopter. The area is absolutely breathtaking.
Do I like photo tours? My reply is a resounding YES.
I still cannot get over the deep blue of the skies.
I’m glad we had the opportunity to visit Red Rock. Every time I see a location I think is beautiful, we find somewhere else that touches us in a different way. Now, we are finding ourselves tuckered out from all the exploring and taking some downtime to visit my daughter in Missouri–another breathtaking sight that creates even sweeter memories.
Magnificent! I enjoyed your photos, so please thank Judy and Roy for their patience to let you work your magic.
Roy and Judy kept us very entertained–we loved spending time with them. They were so very patient with my photo taking–my desire to stop every 10th of a mile is extremely annoying!
John wants me to go with you so I know how he feels having to wait for me.
Beautiful photos, Dawn. The last time I visited Red Rock Canyon was over 15 years ago. Thanks for taking me back.
Thanks for stopping by, Keng. Hoping spring is finding you in beautiful places!
Love the photo tour! Keep them coming please!
You need to join us soon!

This is beautiful, thank you! I drove with my partner from LA through Las Vegas onto Zion Park. The views were stunning! 🙂 Blessings your way … and so glad to know you.
