We are Dawn and Mike from RandomBitsRV. Six years ago, we sold everything we own and hit the road full-time in an RV. We are currently traveling the United States living and working in our Class A Motorhome. We recently purchased a home base on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and enjoy boating and fishing along with our other adventures.
In this blog, Dawn shares random bits of full-time RV life that require trial and error reactions. It may also contain other non-related posts that may pop up in her head. It’s quirky and contains a little humor, but also gives tiny bits of wisdom obtained by good, old-fashioned trial and error. She covers everything from full-time RV adventures, living and working on the road, relationships, friendships, dealing with rheumatoid arthritis, crafting and amateur art, crazy adventures, and–most of all–small observations that make ordinary life extraordinary.
Welcome to our campfire. Grab a beverage of your choice and let’s swap some stories.
The greatest miracles are the ones that happen quietly every day–the ones that we tend to overlook or take for granted. Enjoy every single second, or one day you’ll look back and realize the joy of life has passed you by. ~ Dawn ~
🙂 loved your humble style. It felt like a warm spring afternoon. Short, to the point, neat…
Short is nice 🙂 I have ADD 🙂
Hi Dawn,
Very nice work – succinct and humourous. I have RA too, and some other things, so looking forward to reading your posts and sharing your journey. Take care! Gen
I like your “About” page. I would like to make one small observation although not an expert. When I read your title page Random Bits of Trial and Error…I thought right away…RBTE cute acronym and easy to remember!! but that’s only my opinion. You could always rename your about page “About RBTE” and see if it grows on you for a few days…or not.
Love this about page. It is easy to read and friendly. I also like the quote Life is Like a camera.
good work. keep it up. 🙂
Thank you so much for the feedback. I really do appreciate it.
I believe we accumulate perspectives on life that we would like to share and your positive outlook, and easy, honest style is a nice change from the harried list of to do’s we normally hear. Look forward to more.
Thank you for the compliment. I always appreciate feedback.
Sounds like an awesome blog. Thank you for the follow 🙂 Quirky is always a good trait.
I love quirky! Thank you for the follow, also.

Loved the tagline of the blog 🙂 Lot of attributes and the final wording, always straight from the heart , that really pulls the reader’s heartstring and I must say, your posts echo the thought 🙂
Thank you so much for such a wonderful comment. It means a lot that you stopped by to read. Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

Hi Dawn, my pingbacks don’t work, and I wanted to alert you too that I have nominated you for a 3 day quote challenge – https://soulgifts.com.au/2016/04/15/crusty-crunch/
Don’t feel that you have to accept this. Having said that, I’ve had a lot of fun with it 🙂
I sadly have to decline. Long story short, my April has blown up with unexpected responsibilities. I may revisit the idea in a few weeks, though (not sure of the time frame on this). I’m so honored you thought of me and wish that I could participate.
No time frame, no pressure. I understand time constraints all too well. Good luck with the April blow up 🙂
Thank you. It sounds like fun!
I love this. Thanks for finding me. Giving you a follow back.

it’s a wonderful life! I love being able to pick a location and go–or stay by family if needed. I have no regrets! Thank you so much for stopping by and reading!
Beautiful post. Looks like the smokey mountains in that photo. I’m glad my parents got to do some part time RVing before they died and that I got to listen to Dad tell stories of their adventures. I hope to follow in their footsteps in a few years. So nice to find you! Thanks for the follow! Wishing you safe travels.
Thank you for stopping by, reading, and commenting, JoAnna. I’m so glad your parents got to enjoy RVing–it’s a wonderful experience! Dawn
Thanks for taking a chance by following my blog. I like to investigate little known places, people, and ideas and share them with anyone who is willing to check in. I hope you’ll enjoy my posts on Norse Mythology in the April A to Z Challenge next month. I’m traveling to Norway with my sister in May, so the blogging involves research for both A to Z entries and my trip.
Happy traveling.
I am excited to follow your blog, especially with your chosen theme for the A-Z challenge. I’m not participating this year, but loved your subject choice and am looking forward to your posts. Thank you so much for stopping by to comment. Dawn
Hey there! I’m glad I stumbled here. I can already tell I will enjoy reading your blog. It will be some part research and quite a bit of enjoyment!
