Who Are We?

We are Dawn and Mike from RandomBitsRV.  Six years ago, we sold everything we own and hit the road full-time in an RV.  We are currently traveling the United States living and working in our Class A Motorhome.  We recently purchased a home base on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and enjoy boating and fishing along with our other adventures.

In this blog, Dawn shares random bits of full-time RV life that require trial and error reactions.  It may also contain other non-related posts that may pop up in her head.  It’s quirky and contains a little humor, but also gives tiny bits of wisdom obtained by good, old-fashioned trial and error.  She covers everything from full-time RV adventures, living and working on the road, relationships, friendships, dealing with rheumatoid arthritis, crafting and amateur art, crazy adventures, and–most of all–small observations that make ordinary life extraordinary.

Welcome to our campfire.  Grab a beverage of your choice and let’s swap some stories.

The greatest miracles are the ones that happen quietly every day–the ones that we tend to overlook or take for granted.  Enjoy every single second, or one day you’ll look back and realize the joy of life has passed you by. ~ Dawn ~

  1. Hi Dawn,
Very nice work – succinct and humourous. I have RA too, and some other things, so looking forward to reading your posts and sharing your journey. Take care! Gen

  2. I like your “About” page. I would like to make one small observation although not an expert. When I read your title page Random Bits of Trial and Error…I thought right away…RBTE cute acronym and easy to remember!! but that’s only my opinion. You could always rename your about page “About RBTE” and see if it grows on you for a few days…or not.

  3. I believe we accumulate perspectives on life that we would like to share and your positive outlook, and easy, honest style is a nice change from the harried list of to do’s we normally hear. Look forward to more.

  4. And oops I came here to convey my thanks for the follow and got lost in your wonderful blog 🙂 Your visits and follows are much appreciated and hope to see you more often 🙂 Have a blessed rest of the week.

    1. I sadly have to decline. Long story short, my April has blown up with unexpected responsibilities. I may revisit the idea in a few weeks, though (not sure of the time frame on this). I’m so honored you thought of me and wish that I could participate.

  5. Hi, Dawn! Just wanted to say thanks for the follow! I’ll be enjoying reading your posts, too! 🙂 Have a wonderful week ahead!

  8. Oh, Dawn, this is a beautiful About page. And I love your quote – it calmed me down. (I’m moving today and it really helped). Many blessings … I’m going to follow you! <3

  9. This is a great page. I like the fact that you get right to the point, and thank you for the follow. May you have many wonderful adventures on your journeys.

  10. I just want to thank you for wishing me happy anniversary for my blog. It’s so lovely to know you, Dawn. Happy RV’ing to you! 🙂 Many blessings to you and your family -Debbie

  11. Hi Dawn and Mike, lovely to meet you. I share your wonderlust for travel and camping. Look forward to reading more. Cheers from a fellow adventurer down under.

  12. Beautiful post. Looks like the smokey mountains in that photo. I’m glad my parents got to do some part time RVing before they died and that I got to listen to Dad tell stories of their adventures. I hope to follow in their footsteps in a few years. So nice to find you! Thanks for the follow! Wishing you safe travels.

  13. Thanks for taking a chance by following my blog. I like to investigate little known places, people, and ideas and share them with anyone who is willing to check in. I hope you’ll enjoy my posts on Norse Mythology in the April A to Z Challenge next month. I’m traveling to Norway with my sister in May, so the blogging involves research for both A to Z entries and my trip.

    Happy traveling.

    1. I am excited to follow your blog, especially with your chosen theme for the A-Z challenge. I’m not participating this year, but loved your subject choice and am looking forward to your posts. Thank you so much for stopping by to comment. Dawn
